Building Hope –
Jon was living in a broken down trailer in Fairhaven when the Mission’s Street Connect team began reaching out with supplies and building a relationship. He was fed up with his addiction and life on the street.
Today, Jon is in the Ascent Recovery Program and is participating in the Ascent Pursuit Outreach Program. As part of his internship, he works with Street Connect to serve people living outside.
He is now celebrating 16 months of sobriety.
”I’ve gotten to find myself and recreate who I am. I’m learning to identify who I am in Christ. I’ve learned to trust others again and also myself. I’ve learned patience and obedience.
The Mission has given me my life back and the tools necessary to redirect my thinking so I can be successful. I’ve also made life-long relationships that I can take with me.”
